World Arts Foundation, Inc. LogoWorld Arts Foundation, Inc. LogoWorld Arts Foundation, Inc. is a community-based, non-profit arts and education engine. Established in 1983, it’s motto: “Working hard at the intersection of education and the arts” is reflected in its annual tribute to Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. “Keep Alive the Dream.”

On the 2010 national holiday celebrating the life and works of Dr. King, World Arts hosted and produced, live on fm radio and cable television, its 25th consecutive annual production.

At the center of this 7 hour broadcast is the “Lifetime Achievement Awards” connecting today’s generation the generation of elders and heroes in our midst and who have recently transitioned.

The program’s emphasis on youth and emerging talent is second only to the Gospel music festival inside the program featuring local and regional Gospel choirs.

In coming seasons, World Arts will be providing increased service to schools and churches in the realms of arts and education and youth leadership. Professional Development workshops and materials for urban teachers can be found on the “resources” page. New materials are coming to market in 2011.
