Mr. Grice with members of the "Brigade," a public service and leadership program prototype at McCarthy Middle School in the Gresham-Barlow School District in East Portland (Oregon). The group works to foster cultural understanding among all the students at the school and demonstrate leadership through commitment to engage students and family in "cultural events" at the school.
